Digital Minds Thrive on Change - How Virtual Hand Clinics Are Changing The Culture of Hand Therapy
Saturday 31st May 2025 at 16:00 Johannesburg SAST (GMT +2).
Join Kimberly Schipke M.S & Robyn Midgley as they show you how to implement advanced healing techniques in a virtual hand clinic.
Learn the skills that will enable you to offer significant healing in a Virtual Hand Clinic so that you can offer your patients more than education, exercises and advice. You can offer distance healing.
Join the hand therapy world’s leading authority in distance healing, Kimberly Schipke, and specialist Hand & Upper Limb Therapist Robyn Midgley, as they demonstrate advanced virtual healing techniques, live with a patient.
WHAT TO EXPECT
LIVE VIRTUAL TREATMENT
How to use the Pendulum before, during and after treatment to guide your intervention.
Robyn Midgley will demonstrate her specialist assessment and treatment skills, taught by Kimberly Schipke, using the Pendulum on two patients, demonstrating advanced energy healing techniques. She will show you how to follow up your clinical examination with a pendulum assessment to assess tendon, nerve, bone or ligament injury as well as to identify areas with inflammation versus no inflammation.
Kimberly Schipke is going to teach us the following:
1. Tips & tricks when using a pendulum as well as the different types of pendulums and their uses.
2. Why hand therapy techniques such as IASTM or other techniques where you work on the physical body open up the space for sound to penetrate when working with tuning forks.
3. Geometry & shape of a quartz crystal & why it is important to understand how the geometry affects the tissue and healing.
4. Double terminated crystals versus crystals with only one pointed edge and how this impacts the energy field and the outcomes of your treatment session.
This collaboration highlights how a shared dedication to patient care can achieve results far beyond what we could accomplish individually or in person.
DISCUSSION
Following this, Robyn Midgley & Kimberly Schipke will have an ‘on the couch’ discussion on Advanced Virtual Hand Clinics and will be able to answer all of your questions and concerns about this new culture of Hand Therapy.
A MESSAGE FROM
ROBYN MIDGLEY
Dear Colleague
Technology and what it can do for our changing world in the medical space, has always fascinated me.
Now that we have entered the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we need to develop new ways of working to meet the needs of our patients in the digital era. Hand Therapists have embraced technology and adapted to the changing needs of society to deliver world-class intervention to the patients we serve both online and in the clinic. But there is more to learn.
Familiarity usually stops many people from embracing change and new ways of working, but as we are leaving the Intellectual Age and moving towards the Intuitive Age, it is no surprise that frequencies are rising and this is not just from the tuning forks in our hands. This brings with it a major transformation in the way we perceive reality and what we are capable of as healers.
I am privileged and honoured to be hosting this webinar with Kimberly Schipke. Kimberly is a Biomedical Engineer, a qualified thermographer, and she has been doing distance healing for more than 15 years. We have shared a passion for Virtual Hand Therapy, evidence-based practice, research and science. Spending time learning from her has been a breath of fresh air for me.
Kimberly is highly respected in the field of biomedical engineering, including research experience in tissue engineering, cellular / tissue mechanobiology and medical device design. She is a trainer in medical thermal imaging and helps scientists develop protocols for quantifying thermal energetic changes in the body with bioenergetic devices and techniques. As an educator, she is loved, authentic & sincere. As a healer, she is gifted.
I encourage you to attend this event and look forward to sharing this experience and wonderful educator with you.
See you online,
Robyn Midgley
